Accepted candidates are responsible for passing the Praxis Series administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).  All Fellows must take and PASS the Praxis I: Pre-professional  Skills Test and are required to submit qualifying scores for all three individual portions of the exam.  We require that all DC Teaching Fellows have official test score reports on file no later than June 1, 2008.

Praxis I:

The Praxis I exam is a computer based test and can be taken weekly at any Praxis center.  Paper-based exams can also be taken with limited availability, and must be registered for at least one month in advance.

It takes approximately one month for ETS to mail your official score reports.

Please visit www.ets.org to register online for a test and for more information about the Praxis exam.  When registering for both the Praxis I and II tests, please indicate that you would like a score report sent to The George Washington University, American University, and DC Public Schools (code 7076).  If you do not make this request at the time of registration, you will be charged for additional score reports.
